Guo et al. demonstrated that the U251 human glioblastoma cancer cell line transfected with CYP4A1 cDNA (U251 O) increased the formation of 20-HETE, and this correlates with the high VEGF and pERK1/2 expression compared with the control U251 cells, which suggests that 20-HETE may have pro-angiogenic properties in U251 human gliomas [78].
