Previous DLRA results showed that STAT3 acts directly on miR-126 in ESCC and plays a role in many diverse biological processes [26], whereas phosphorylated STAT3 regulates a number of different genes, including Bcl-xL, Bcl-2, VEGF, and MMPs [26–29].
