In summary, our results reveal that DNA methylation and inflammation stimuli coactivate the expression of CtBPs. Their encoding proteins associates with PCAF and c-MYC to assemble the CPM complex, which subsequently activates the expression of CASC2, IL6 and IL17, aggravating inflammation response and eventually leading to the occurrence of AP. The gene discussed is KAT2B; the disease is alkaline phosphatase measurement.
