Abel et al. (2010) found hat GSTA4 is a novel susceptible gene for non melanoma skin cancer, although the relationship between GSTA4 and melanoma was not analyzed, but it still was suggested expression is associated with a poor prognosis for skin tumors. TMEM47 plays a role in regulating the localization of a subset of tight junction proteins, associated actomyosin structures, cell morphology, and participates in developmental transitions from adherens to tight junctions (Dong & Simske, 2016). The gene discussed is GSTA4; the disease is skin neoplasm.
