CD4 and squamous cell carcinoma: For squamous cell carcinoma patients (n = 254), resting mast cells were associated with a better OS (HR = 0.94, P = 0.01, Figures 3, 5, Supplementary table 8), while a higher percentage of regulatory T cells and naïve CD4 T cells were associated with a marginally poorer overall OS (HR = 1.12, P = 0.06; HR = −1.1, P = 0.06).
