Although CD141+ DCs are depleted in patients with newly diagnosed AML and in patients with relapse/refractory AML, they recover in the setting of MRD after chemotherapy or allogeneic stem cell transplantation,56 suggesting that vaccination with CLEC9A‐WT1 will not only be feasible, but will also likely be most efficacious in this setting as an adjunctive treatment for AML. The gene discussed is THBD; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
