In the past two decades, studies have confirmed the association of high densities of CD3CT+IM+, CD45ROCT+IM+, GZMBCT+IM+ (granzyme B, a hallmark of cytotoxic T cells), and CD8CT+IM+ T cells with prolonged disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) of patients with localized CRC (15–19) (Table 1).
