In the HFD-induced NAFLD mouse model, deletion of HuR reduced the levels of triglyceride, cholesterol, APOB, APOE, HDL-C, and LDL-C in serum (Fig. 4a), while it elevated the serum levels of ALT, AST, and T-Bil, and reduced the levels of ALB and TP (Fig. 4b); it also reduced the glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance (Fig. 4c, d). Here, APOE is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
