In addition, liver tissues from NAFLD patients exhibited higher protein levels of HuR, CYCS, NDUFB6, UQCRB, and APOB, supporting the view that HuR may be important for regulating the production of CYCS, NDUFB6, UQCRB, and APOB during the process of human NAFLD (Supplementary Fig. 21a). The gene discussed is CYCS; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
