Creating a semiquantitative expression score by multiplying the highest staining intensity observed (0 to 3) with the respective percentage of tumor cells stained, we could validate a significantly higher expression of MCM2 and lamin B1 and lower expression of SLC3A2 in the p16-positive samples and further observed a non-significant trend towards reduced expression for LRPPRC (p = 0.0678, one-sided t-test) (Figure 6B). The gene discussed is LRPPRC; the disease is neoplasm.
