Recently, a multidrug-resistant HCC cell line (resistant to sorafenib, gemcitabine, oxaliplatin, and 5-fluorouracil) delivered exosomal miR32-5p to HCC-sensitive cells, leading to activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and inducing multidrug resistance via angiogenesis and EMT [99]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
