Unlike the previous phases, most of the biomedical entities were genes and can be divided into 3 categories according to the diseases to which they are related: (1) inflammatory-related genes (eg, COX-2, LPLA2, and TNF-α), (2) cardiovascular-related genes (eg, COX-1, CD143, plasminogen, LDLCQ3, GPIIb, P2Y12, and tPA), and (3) cancer-related genes (eg, TNFa, COX-2, COX-1, and LPLA2). The gene discussed is PLAT; the disease is cancer.
