Another remarkable link between Rab and LRRK2 is that Rab29 (also known as Rab7L1), which is encoded within the PD‐linked locus (PARK16), directly binds to LRRK2 and recruits it to the Golgi apparatus, thereby greatly increasing its kinase activity [46, 47, 48, 49].
