The phase II ACT‐34 trial13 included in this present study found that patients who received a low‐dose injection of cells (1 × 105 CD34+ cells per kilogram body weight) exhibited a significant reduction in angina frequency and a significant improvement in exercise tolerance time at 12 months compared with placebo patients, which was also confirmed in the meta‐analysis.15 This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and angina pectoris.
