These genes were then associated with the phenotype of “aortic dissection; artery aneurysm” by Phenolyzer, and the result revealed one heterozygous T-to-C transition c.1613T > C in TGFBR2 (Supplementary Figure S1), which leads to a substitution of valine to alanine at codon 538 (p.Val538Ala) in the TGFBR2 kinase domain (Figure 1C).
