Figure 3d shows the peri-KC histogram for a unit recorded in the mediodorsal (MD) nucleus. Units in the thalamus often fired asymmetrically with respect to KCs, with stronger firing in the few hundreds of milliseconds after the mPFC KC compared to before KCs (average of 2.48 standard deviations at 274.76 ± 135.33 ms after KCs, compared to 1.28 standard deviations at 263.31 ± 145.31 ms before KCs; n = 31 thalamic units; Figure 3e; Figure 3—figure supplement 1b includes the peri-KC histograms for units in mPFC and CA1). This evidence concerns the gene TBCE and keratoconus.
