Interestingly, the length of AQP4 staining was significantly decreased in the ipsi- and contralateral cortex of the Cav-1 KO mice compared to WTs after stroke (WT-Contra compared to KO-Contra: 95% CI [0.1888 to 0.5171], p < 0.0001, and WT-Ipsi compared to KO-Ipsi: 95% CI [0.05398 to 0.3822], p = 0.0027) (Figure 2C).
