We demonstrate that inhibition or knockdown of HUWE1 results in a significant decrease in intracellular glutamine levels in MM cell lines (p ≤ 0.012; Fig. 4d, e), suggesting that reduction in glutamine contributes to MYC degradation in the absence of HUWE1; future studies will aim to dissect the mechanism behind this phenomenon.
