Although the humoral response against some of these proteins has previously been reported in other studies using samples from malaria-endemic regions11,38–40, antigens such as putative protein kinase, HSP70-2, V-Type proton ATPase subunit B, START, LPD1, PDI8, ferredoxin reductase-like protein and plasmepsins I and II, may be indicative of differences in the specific IgG range shown in individuals with imported malaria caused only by an isolated infection in a partially protected individual. This evidence concerns the gene HSPA2 and malaria.
