In our study, being carrier of the G allele in the ALK1 rs3847859 polymorphism is associated with a lower basal heart rate, which may be a genetic advantage in the face of the appearance of future cardiovascular complications, whereas being carrier of the C allele in the endoglin rs10987759 polymorphism is associated with an increased heart rate, circumstance that may increase the cardiovascular risk in these HT and DM patients. This evidence concerns the gene ENG and hematocrit.
