ENG and diabetes mellitus: In our study, being carrier of the G allele in the ALK1 rs3847859 polymorphism is associated with a lower basal heart rate, which may be a genetic advantage in the face of the appearance of future cardiovascular complications, whereas being carrier of the C allele in the endoglin rs10987759 polymorphism is associated with an increased heart rate, circumstance that may increase the cardiovascular risk in these HT and DM patients.
