Interestingly, the in vivo short-term competitive homing assay showed that there was no significant difference between the suppression of recruitment of KI and KO lymphocytes to the GALT (Fig. 4), which is consistent with the data that CD4+CD45RBhigh T cells from KI and KO mice are similarly impaired in their ability to induce colitis in a T cell transfer model. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is colitis.
