In contrast, the proportion of patients who were HBV positive with portal venous invasion (PVI) and liver fibrosis was significantly reduced in group VE compared with group Y. Preoperative cholinesterase (ChE), serum albumin, and AFP levels were significantly reduced in group VE compared with group Y.
