Dimri and colleagues demonstrated that the concomitant over-expression of both EGFR and c-Src, but not of EGFR or c-Src alone, markedly cooperate to enhance breast cancer cells oncogenic properties, causing hyper-proliferation, aberrant three-dimensional acinar structures, increased migration and invasion, and anchorage-independent cell growth [66]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and breast cancer.
