Though these are indirect conclusions, to understand the HAND2 promoter methylation status in ovarian cancer, we modeled the analysis as performed in the above study [12] and conducted an in silico analysis of the HAND2-AS1 promoter (Supplementary Figure S1a), which showed two CpG islands of which CpG 120 in the promoter region could impede HAND2-AS1 expression when methylated. Here, HAND2 is linked to ovarian cancer.
