Tocilizumab is a humanized anti–IL‐6 receptor antibody that binds to both membrane‐bound and soluble IL‐6 receptor (sIL‐6R) thereby antagonizing IL‐6 signaling.5 It is licensed to treat autoimmune disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis, but has not yet found use in cardiovascular disease.
