RALB and pancreatic neoplasm: Human pancreatic cancer stem cells (hPCSCs) reported previously (i.e., FGβ3 cells) are a validated human CSC model19–21 that overexpresses integrin αvβ3. In FGβ3 cells, integrin αvβ3 recruits Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homologue GTPase (KRAS) and RAS Like Proto-Oncogene B (RalB) to activate serine/threonine kinase Tank-binding kinase 1(TBK1, IκB kinase (IKK)-related kinase) and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) to trigger dysregulated KRAS-RalB-NF-κB.
