We further looked in genes associated with these probes, we found gene CELSR1 for which has been associated to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease disk among women19; the other gene, ETV5 is member of the oncogenic subfamily of ETS transcription factors20; the final gene, ECEL1P2 has been associated with differential methylation levels in smokers even after quitting and lung cancer risk21,22. Here, CELSR1 is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
