MDM2 and lung cancer: In this meta-analysis, the authors collected the stratified data for the MDM2 rs2279744 polymorphism by smoking status from five of the nine included studies (Table S2) and calculated the pooled OR of the homozygous wild-type TT compared with the TG and GG genotypes of MDM2 rs2279744 among smokers, which suggested no association between this genetic polymorphism and the lung cancer risk among smokers (Table 4) [3].
