The risk of all‐cause mortality was higher in patients who: were male (aHR = 1.70, 95% CI 1.47 to 1.96), had a lower CD4 count (aHR = 3.13, 95% CI 2.49 to 3.93 for <500 vs. ≥500 copies/mL) and had any TB treatment during follow‐up (aHR = 6.64, 95% CI 5.52 to 8.22), after adjustment (Table 3, model 1b).
