CXCL8 and psoriasis: Upregulated expression of chemokines such as RANTES/CCL5 and MCP-1/CCL2 has been detected in the epidermis of patients with both atopic dermatitis and psoriasis [44]; in addition, with TNF-α being a potent inducer of IL-8, whose high production is associated with psoriasis, but not in the skin of patients with atopic dermatitis or healthy skin, we can suggest that, due to the reduced production of TNF-α by MiodesinTM, the phytocomplex could present itself as an interesting adjunctive therapy option in the treatment of psoriasis [45, 46].
