To determine the role of IFNs in the host response to viral infections, RNA-seq reads from PaKi cells (HeV-, CedV-, or mock-infected) were separately mapped to type I IFN locus (three IFN-α, one IFN-β, one IFN-ε, and five IFN-ω), using the type I IFN locus from Pteropus alecto as a reference (Zhou et al., 2016). Here, IFNA2 is linked to viral infectious disease.
