The results of this study show that CRP is the best biomarker for biliary tract inflammation or infection (AUC 1.000, sensitivity 100.0%, specificity 100.0%, positive predictive value 100.0%, and negative predictive value 100.0%), followed by PCT, sTREM-1, and WBC, while T is the least accurate index (AUC 0.574, sensitivity 41.7%, specificity 86.8%, positive predictive value 60.0%, and negative predictive value 75.9%). Here, CRP is linked to infection.
