IL10 and metastatic melanoma: Taken together, these results suggest that the melanoma cells in the developed in vitro model were able to shape the skin microenvironment by promoting an immune suppressive secretome, comprising IL-10, the ability of which to skew in vitro monocyte differentiation towards a suppressive M2-like phenotype truly mimicked in vivo mechanisms of immune editing and evasion of metastatic melanoma [20].
