Because the human Cu chaperone Atox1 has been found to facilitate cancer cell migration (Blockhuys et al. 2020) and play an apparent role in pre-implantation mouse embryo development (Celauro et al. 2017), we here set out to test the role of the C. elegans Atox1 homolog, CUC-1, in DTC migration. The gene discussed is ATOX1; the disease is cancer.
