A recent study utilizing RNA sequencing and reverse transcription PCR analysis revealed a surprisingly high frequency of recurrent YAP1-MAML2 fusions and the reciprocal MAML2-YAP1 fusions in 71/104 (68%) poromas and in 1/11 (9%) porocarcinomas, respectively [20]. Here, MAML2 is linked to eccrine porocarcinoma.
