Concerning cognitive changes, this Table shows that inhibition of NMDA receptors, binding to SH/SeH proteins involved in protection against oxidative stress, activation of ionotropic glutamate receptors or inhibition of Na + /I− symporter (NIS) trigger a set of downstream events leading to learning and memory impairment (AOPs 12, 13, 17, 48 and 54). This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A5 and memory impairment.
