In purified, RNA-IC-stimulated, pDC and NK cell co-cultures from SLE patients, IFN-α2b and GM-CSF priming marginally increased the IFN-λ1/3 levels (from means 14 to 455 pg/ml, p = 0.125) and the proportion of responders (from 11 to 33%, n = 1–3). The gene discussed is IFNL1; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
