The occurrence of complications such as ascites of cirrhosis in the later stage of liver cirrhosis is liable to form enterogenous endotoxemia, and the repeated enterogenous endotoxemia can activate hepatic mononuclear-macrophages to release TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8 and other inflammatory factors, leading to cascade reaction of inflammatory factors. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and serum lipopolysaccharide activity.
