We assumed that the 2,5-DHBA–gelatin conjugate, which possesses heparin-like properties, could interfere with the adsorption of extracellular Hsp90 to cells, thereby affecting the Hsp90-mediated motility of cancer cells; in this case, the conjugate, due to its cell-impermeability, will not impair the function of intracellular Hsp90. Here, HSP90AA1 is linked to cancer.
