The main findings from this study are as follows:(1) Individuals with CD320 CT+TT genotype and high homocysteine concentrations had a significantly increased risk of osteoporosis and OVCF; (2) the CD320 C –TCN2 T—SLC19A1 T—SLC19A2 C and CD320 T–TCN2 C–SLC19A1 G–SLC19A2 C allele combinations was significantly associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis. This evidence concerns the gene SLC19A1 and osteoporosis.
