Immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies have demonstrated that anxA1 is upregulated in several tumor types, including melanoma [32], hepatocellular carcinoma [33], gastric cancer [34–36], and non–small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) [37–40], and is downregulated in prostate cancer [41, 42] and many head and neck cancers [43–46].
