RPTOR and prostate adenocarcinoma: Raptor is overexpressed in prostatic adenocarcinomas (Evren et al., 2011), and knockdown of RAPTOR induces attenuation of mTORC1 kinase activity, followed by reduction in S6K and 4E‐BP1 phosphorylation and cell growth (Fuhler et al., 2009; Kim et al., 2002).
