While all four subjects had up-regulation of expression of AIM2 (Fig. 6G), and three of the four subjects had increased expression of other inflammasome-associated transcripts, one subject had significantly decreased expression of IFI16, MEFV, CASP1, and CASP4. Significant changes in the expression of CD36, CD14, ITGB2/ITGAM, and TLR6 were also identified in unbiased differential expression analysis of monocyte transcriptomes in these heart transplant recipients. This evidence concerns the gene AIM2 and cardiac transplant.
