TargetScan was used to perform bioinformatics analysis, MAPK1 was found to share complementary binding sites with miR-490-3p (Fig. 4A), and it was selected for further verification because this MAPK1 was reported to act as an oncogene during NSCLC progression11 and a previous study has indicated that MAPK1 is a direct target gene of miR-490-3p in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells12. The gene discussed is MAPK1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
