The immunoblotting-based analysis revealed that the levels of HtrA1 and HtrA2 proteins were significantly reduced in CRC tissue as compared to unchanged mucosa (Figure 1A,B); specifically, the HtrA1 level was 0.6-fold lower and the HtrA2 level was 0.7-fold lower. The gene discussed is HTRA1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
