LPS inhibits miR-149, a direct inhibitor of Myeloid differentiation primary response 88 (MyD88), allowing activation of the MyD88/interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK)/tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6) signaling pathway and expression of IL-8 in the CF airway [132,133]. This evidence concerns the gene IRAK1 and cystic fibrosis.
