IL17A and autoimmune thyroid disease: Turhan et al. found that serum IL-17A levels in untreated thyroid autoimmunity (TAI) pregnant patients (with high levels of TSH, TPOAb, and TGAb) were significantly higher than those of the control group in the first trimester, but IL-17A levels were similar between euthyroid TAI patients treated with L-T4 and normal pregnant women in the second trimester (17).
