Our data reveal the two ways of cytoplasm translocation of TFEB induced by PARP activation in PD models: (a) PARP1‐SIRT1‐mTOR pathway inhibits nuclear translocation of TFEB through phosphorylation and (b) over‐activation of PARP1 promotes TFEB PARylation, resulting in CRM1‐dependent nuclear export. The gene discussed is SIRT1; the disease is Parkinson disease.
