BCAT2 and cancer: Recent studies have largely focused on BCAT1 in several cancer contexts.9–11 However, few reports have addressed BCAT2 in tumors, which has an unclear function in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).12,13 Although studies have found that the mRNA level of BCAT2 is regulated by Kruppel-like factor 15 (KLF15) and sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (SREBP1),12,14 little is known about BCAT2 posttranscriptional regulation.
