A meta-analysis of eight cohorts of 2064 prostate cancer patients was performed to further evaluate the prognostic significance of CES1. The results showed that higher CES1 expression was significantly related to better prostate cancer prognosis under a random effects model (HR 0.82, 95% CI 0.70–0.97, P = 0.02, Figure 2D). The gene discussed is CES1; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
