In detail, overexpressed KITLG is released by keratinocyte‐activated melanocyte via the MAPK pathway.32 The proliferation and invasion of c‐KIT‐positive colorectal cancer cells was demonstrated to be enhanced by KITLG through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.33 In this study, we found that MAPK signaling pathway was the major upregulated pathway associated to KITLG in type A and AB thymoma based on TCGA‐THYM data. This evidence concerns the gene KITLG and thymoma.
